About Me
Life’s journey is filled with twists and turns. As a dedicated therapist, my role is to walk beside you during challenging times, offering a safe space where you’re heard, understood, and supported. I genuinely believe in the innate potential within each individual to heal, grow, and thrive.
I also offer therapy in Arabic.
Therapeutic Approach
My initial training was integrative, involving a comprehensive study of various methodologies such as Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, and Existential approaches. This diverse educational background enables me to tailor the therapeutic experience to each individual’s unique needs and journey.
Additionally, I am also trained in Counselling for Depression (CfD) with the NHS, where the emphasis is on exploring emotions that might feel unprocessed or disconnected. In CfD, the focus is on understanding the concept of “dissonance” – the gap between internal feelings and external presentation, which is often a significant factor in depression. The sessions are designed to help you reflect on and explore your emotions, supporting a deeper connection with your own feelings and those of the people around you. The goal is to identify and understand patterns that contribute to your feelings of unhappiness and low mood.
I have also done a postgraduate specialization in CBT, allowing me to offer a more structured approach to addressing challenges. CBT focuses on modifying thought patterns and behaviors that are unhelpful, breaking down current mental states into smaller, more manageable parts, and setting achievable goals for positive transformation. I am also currently training as an EMDR therapist with the NHS.
By integrating these approaches, I aim to provide a holistic and empathetic therapeutic journey, geared towards enhancing self-understanding and emotional health.

Background
Having previously worked with Change, Grow, Live (CGL) to support recovery from drug and alcohol misuse, I’ve seen the strength and resilience of the human spirit. I also co-facilitate a support group for female survivors of domestic violence which I find very rewarding.

Continuous learning is more than just a professional requirement for me; it’s a passion. Collaborating with NAPAC provided invaluable insights into supporting survivors of childhood abuse.
