MBACP Integrative Counsellor

About Me

Every person has a story, and it’s my privilege as a therapist to walk alongside you as you uncover, understand, and shape yours. My journey into therapy is rooted in a deep desire to provide a space where you can feel heard, valued, and empowered to face life’s challenges. I approach my work with warmth, compassion, and the belief that even the most overwhelming struggles can be met with courage and resilience when supported in the right way.

I deeply believe in meeting you where you are, both emotionally and practically. Sometimes that means sitting with difficult emotions; other times, it’s about finding practical tools to navigate your challenges. I see therapy as a co-created journey, where your voice is at the centre every step of the way.

Therapeutic Approach

I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I tailor our sessions to suit your unique needs and goals. No two people are the same, so why should therapy be? My toolkit includes:

Person-Centred Therapy: For fostering self-awareness and self-acceptance, helping you connect with your inner strength.

Psychodynamic Therapy: To explore how past experiences shape present emotions and behaviors, uncovering patterns that may no longer serve you.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Focused on practical steps to address specific challenges, with clear and actionable goals.

You are always in control of how we work together. Whether you’re seeking short-term support for a specific issue or a deeper, long-term journey of discovery, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy and understanding.

I have a special interest in helping those who feel disconnected or overwhelmed by life transitions, such as career or relationship changes, parenting, or healing from past traumas. My experience has taught me that the right support can turn moments of uncertainty into opportunities for growth.

Background

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from all walks of life, each with their own unique story. I’ve worked with people facing challenges such as loss, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, unresolved trauma, and relationship difficulties. I have worked both in private practice and charity settings. My experience also extends to those navigating complex emotions tied to neglect, abandonment, anger, and finding purpose in life.

I believe in the power of small, meaningful steps. Healing doesn’t happen all at once—it unfolds gradually, and every moment of insight or self-compassion is a step toward transformation.

Self-care Boundaries

Me Outside Therapy

Beyond the professional setting, I’m someone with dreams, vulnerabilities, and moments of reflection. Having personally navigated the search for the right therapist, I genuinely comprehend the weight of this choice. Outside of therapy, I treasure quiet moments, journeys of self-discovery, and the myriad simple joys that life brings. My journey in therapy has been as much about self-growth as it has been about supporting others. When you read this, know that it’s not just about a professional relationship; it’s about two humans connecting, understanding, and moving forward together.
